- As a reseller entrant you will be asked questions on the entry form in sections. The way you answer each section will help the judges understand the solution you have provided. Please try and follow the format as it helps the judges evaluate the solution properly. So many entrants lose out because they fail to answer the questions posed. Describing exactly what the customer was trying to achieve and the results from the solution is crucial. The judges will be more impressed with the results and success of the solution than the fine details of the technology involved.
- Be concise. The judges have a lot of entries to read through in a very short time. Try and use the number of words indicated in each section of the form.
- Don't just cut and paste into the forms case studies that may already have been produced. Case studies tend to have lots of fluffy marketing words that don't mean anything in this context. Edit your case studies to answer the questions in each section. By doing this you will pull out the key points for the judges.
- The judges are not looking for the most complex solution. They are looking for ones that deliver what the customer wanted and especially solutions that exceeded the customer expectation.
- Size doesn't matter. A good solution doesn't have to be large scale. Many of the finalists and winners in the past have entered solutions for quite small clients. The reason they got to the finals was that their solution had a major impact on the organisation.
- The judges are keen to see how you implemented the solution. Involve your project management team in describing the implementation. They are often the ones who have the passion about what they achieved. They can give the detail of how you overcame obstacles or tailored the solution to meet and exceed the client requirements.
- Don't rush your entry. Take the time to reread and pass around within the business. Well crafted. clear and concise submissions do help.
- Choose your category carefully. You can enter the same solution in more than one category and enter as many solutions as you wish.
IMPORTANT
Finally and most importantly, all entries MUST be accompanied by an end user endorsement letter from your customer that acknowledges and confirms how the solution has improved his/her business. A 'well done' note is not applicable. After completing your on line submission, endorsement letters (max 250 words) should be sent separately to entries@cnawards.com referenced as follows:
CN AWARDS TESTIMONIAL FROM (customer name) IN SUPPORT OF (reseller name) FOR (name of award). Testimonials can be sent as an email or as a pdf or MS Word attachment letter.
REMEMBER, CN AWARDS RESELLER WINNERS DEMONSTRATE TO OUR INDEPENDENT JUDGES HOW THEY HAVE SOLVED A CUSTOMER'S PROBLEMS. THIS IS WHY THE CN AWARDS ARE SO HIGHLY PRIZED AND RECOGNISED!
