- As a supplier entrant you will be asked questions on the entry form in two sections. The way you answer each section will help the judges understand the service and support you have provided. Please try and follow the format as it helps the judges evaluate your submission properly. So many entrants lose out because they fail to answer the questions posed. Describing exactly how you have helped a reseller achieve their goals is crucial. The judges will be more impressed with the results and success of the support provided than the fine details of the channel programme.
- Be concise. The judges have a lot of entries to read through in a very short time. Try and use the number of words indicated in each section of the form.
- Don't just cut and paste into the forms reseller case studies that may already have been produced. Case studies tend to have lots of fluffy marketing words that don't mean anything in this context. Edit your case studies to answer the questions in each section. By doing this you will pull out the key points for the judges.
- The judges are not looking for reams of information about channel support. They are looking for innovative ideas , motivational plans and genuine solutions that have enabled resellers to deliver service and solutions to their customers.
- Reseller support doesn't have to be large scale. Many of the finalists and winners in the past have achieved success by introducing a simple, creative idea that has helped resellers sell more effectively or address a major opportunity.
- Involve your reseller support teams. They are often the ones who have the passion about what they achieved and can give the detail of how they overcame obstacles or tailored the solutions to meet and exceed reseller requirements.
- Don't rush your entry. Take the time to reread and pass around within the business. Well crafted. clear and concise submissions do help.
IMPORTANT
Finally and most importantly, all entries MUST be accompanied by a reseller endorsement letter that acknowledges and confirms how the solution has improved his/her channel business. A 'well done' note is not applicable. After completing your on line submission, endorsement letters (max 250 words) should be sent separately to entries@cnawards.com referenced as follows:
CN AWARDS TESTIMONIAL FROM (reseller name) IN SUPPORT OF (supplier name) FOR (name of award). Testimonials can be sent as an email or as a pdf or MS Word attachment letter.
