Adam is a co-founder of Knight Corporate Finance, a corporate finance boutique that advises business owners on strategy, funding, acquisitions, and exit. Knight has grown to become the leading advisor for entrepreneurs in the TMT sector having advised on nearly 100 TMT transactions since its inception in 2008.

ADRIAN BARNARD

Adrian founded ICT company, Modern Communications, which he sold in 2014 to embark on his next venture Prime Networks, which he helped re-value before exiting with its future guaranteed. As a media commentator for the TMT sector Adrian is now regularly asked to provide market insight on TV and Radio and in the Press.

ALEX TEMPEST

Alex joined BT in December 2017 as Managing Director of Fixed, Wholesale and MVNO Sales, moving from TalkTalk Business where she was Director of Partners. She became Managing Director of Wholesale, BT Enterprise in May this year, following the formation of the Enterprise business unit.

CHRIS MILLINGTON

Chris Millington took over as Managing Director of emporia Telecom UK & Ireland in 2019 and successfully launched the brand into the technology markets in 2020, quickly building awareness and market share. He has built a 30-year consumer electronics and telecommunications career at brands including Kenwood Electronics, Sony and Doro.

IAIN SINNOTT

Iain Sinnott is Sales & Marketing Director at DRD, responsible for both the internationally sold cloud service management platform Uboss and the UK cloud communications reseller supplier VanillaIP. Iain is also a board member of the Cloud Communications Alliance, the leading global association of Cloud Comms Service Providers.

JOHN CHAPMAN

Though officially retired now after 46 years in the IT and Communications industry, John still moderates panels and leads discussions at major events including the prestigious Comms Vision Convention at Gleneagles and IT Europa’s Managed Services and Hosting Summit.

KATE WOOD

Kate is a public speaker, a Women in Tech Network Broad member, volunteer and advocate for ‘Pockets in all Dresses’. Kate now offers ‘Culture as a Service’, an expert consultancy service to support organisation in becoming the very best place to work, where employees feel valued and cared for.

LEE SHORTEN

Lee Shorten is a non-executive, part-time/interim board member and freelance consultant working with a broad range of different companies. He delivers coaching and training to business leaders for some of the world’s largest brands and their channel partners; he has steered numerous companies through varying stages of growth, turnaround, merger, acquisition, and sale.

MARK CURTIS-WOOD

Mark has spent over 20 years in the Telecoms/Technology industry at senior management and board director level, generating over £100M in recurring revenue. He is now the co-founder of Growth Mentors Limited working with Tech business owners looking to grow from 6 to 7 figures in recurring revenue without spending a fortune on sales and marketing.

MARK QUARTERMAINE

Mark has over 30 years’ experience in the ICT industry in a variety of executive, sales and marketing roles. Having started his career at IBM, Mark subsequently worked at BT Global Services as UK President and more recently as the CEO at both Azzurri and Alternative Networks. He is currently non- exec Chairman at Phoenix, Oak Engage and Natterbox and a non-exec director at SysGroup plc.

MARK SAUNDERS

Mark has enjoyed a thirty-year career in the telecoms industry, working in sales director roles with Telia and Gamma, before joining 9 Group in 2009, where he was Marketing Director until semi-retirement beckoned earlier this year. Mark now has a consultancy role with FTP Group, while also running a small publishing business and a separate copywriting venture.

NICK POWELL

Nick is a highly experienced telecoms industry leader having held senior positions at Cable & Wireless, TTB and most recently Sky, where Nick set up the Sky Ethernet business. He now runs his own consultancy, Kiss Less Frogs Ltd, bringing the right people from the industry together to deliver better results, faster.

STEVE SMITH

Steve’s comms career spans 46 years. In 1984, he co-founded Astro Communications supporting customers around the world. Steve now spends much of his time giving back as a Liveryman in the IT Livery Company and as a trustee of CITA. In 2018, Steve received an Honorary Fellowship of the Institute of Telecoms Professionals
